Colin Williams (priest)
Colin Henry Williams (born 12 August 1952) was Archdeacon of Lancaster from 1999 to 2005.〔"Williams, Ven. Colin Henry", (''Who's Who 2014'' ), accessed 1 March 2014.]〕 He is now the Archdeacon of Europe.
Williams was educated at King George V Grammar School for Boys, Southport, and Pembroke College, Oxford. After an earlier career as a solicitor he was ordained in 1982. After a curacy at St Paul's Stoneycroft, Liverpool, he was team vicar in Walton from 1984 to 1989; domestic chaplain to the Bishop of Blackburn from 1989 to 1994; and vicar of St Chad's Poulton-le-Fylde from 1994 to 1999 before his appointment as archdeacon;〔Crockford's On-line accessed through private subscription @ 09:11 GMT Saturday 1 March 2014〕 and General Secretary to the Conference of European Churches from 2005 to 2010.〔(Church of England website. )〕 Since then he has been team rector of Ludlow〔("Photo of the Ven C.
